One of the most anticipated shows of the menswear collections presented Kris Van Assche for Dior Homme at #PFW yesterday with a muted palette of exemplary tailoring with the most cleverly subtle military and naval references.

Impactful bandana paisley prints are seen across collections, such as Scott James, Woolrich and Baruc at Pitti Uomo; as garment linings and more notably as a key pattern in both patchwork and large scale forms. We’re seeing them predominantly in scarlet red and indigo, referencing Western style neckerchiefs, which have been a street style key accessory in recent seasons.
For spring/summer 2013, this classic paisley has evolved, boasting relaxed shirting, shorts and summer outerwear, and though the print is reminiscent of the Mid West, garments are distinctly resort-inspired.

This great understated take on resort styling keeps tropical prints to a minimum by restricting them to standout accessories. Check the WGSN at Pitti Uomo site for more street style.
